猶太曆八月 - 瑪西班月 (二) 拉結的忌日 - 瑪西班月初十一
猶太傳統以第八個月瑪西班月初十一日為拉結的忌日.
成千上萬的猶太人, 特別是婦女,
將會於這一兩天到訪於耶路撒冷和伯利恆路上的拉結墓.
創35:19-20
拉結死了、葬在以法他的路旁．以法他就是伯利恆。
雅各在他的墳上立了一統碑、
就是拉結的墓碑、到今日還在。

楊尼的生活非常複雜：他快滿十三歲了，人很聰明，但身體發育尚未完全，所以他每天都在努力，希望能儘快擁有一副成年男子的身軀，以迎接自己即將舉行的成年禮。在學校，他的同學不斷地欺負他。在家裡，他的父母互不理睬；當他倆偶爾想談話的時候，則會透過楊尼來進行。
楊尼有個哥哥，名叫唐馬，今年十七歲。唐馬患了自閉症，多年來一直住在療養院。唐馬在楊尼即將舉行成年禮的時候回到家裡來，可謂禍不單行。這個家庭的基礎本來已是不甚穩固，現在整個家庭更加搖搖欲墜。
在這個家庭裡面，真正的成年人祇有楊尼一人。
楊尼在成年禮上需讀一段關於挪亞的經文，唐馬卻迷上了這段經文。楊尼對這個哥哥認識很少，但最後須獨自應付他。
楊尼終於長大成人，他的家人也隨著他一起成長。不過這家人的成長路途可以說是波折重重：因為他們沿途要面對令人痛苦的真相、過往的錯誤、及現在的悲傷。

Everything is complicated in Yoni's life. He's almost 13, really smart, but physically underdeveloped and struggles daily to quickly grow into the physique of a man for his upcoming Bar Mitzvah. His classmates bully him every chance they get and his parents barely say a word to each other or, if at all, communicate through him. As if all this weren't enough his autistic brother, Tomer, 17, locked away for years in an institution, returns home right before the ceremony. This shakes up the unstable foundation of the entire family. Being the only real adult in his family, Yoni ends up dealing on his own with a brother he barely knows, who becomes obsessed with Yoni's Torah-excerpt about Noah. It is a pretty rough growing up and growing together for the entire family as painful truths, mistakes of the past and sorrows of the present are confronted.
